Why are the two events combining?
Both the NAAA and the NRC have grown into ‘must attend’ events for the remarketing industry with many executives attending both at substantial expense. With business travel claiming an ever-growing piece of budgets, both sides saw that a combination of the events into one would be beneficial by saving time and money. NAAA and NRC estimate that by combining the meetings into one, savings on travel-related costs alone will reach into the millions of dollars collectively for the industry.

What will be the schedule of the combined events?
The program for the NAAA Convention will continue to be very much the same as it has been the tradition. Now, as part of the National Remarketing Conference and Used Car Week, there will be more professional and business-building networking opportunities for NAAA-members to take advantage of onsite. NAAA events will start with committee meetings and run through the end of the week with the Presidential Gala and President’s Party on Thursday evening. Used Car Week will encompass the entire week Nov 14-18.

What will remain of the NAAA Convention?
The effort in combining the NAAA into NRC is one where we are committed to “Honoring the Tradition and Embracing the Future”. With this in mind, attendees will still enjoy the special NAAA Opening Ceremonies and Luncheon, the Black Book Reception, the Presidential Gala and the President’s Party. In fact, the NAAA staff will still lead the efforts on those special events during the week with NRC and Used Car Week staff working alongside.

Who will handle the exhibit hall and sponsorships?
The NRC staff will handle the exhibit hall and the majority of the sponsorships. Any specific underwriting related to the Opening Ceremonies and Luncheon, Presidents Gala, and Presidential Party will still be handled directly through NAAA staff.

Who will handle the registrations?
Registrations will go through the NRC and Used Car Week website.

In addition to the National Remarketing Conference and NAAA, what other conferences comprise Used Car Week? This event will focus on the growing CPO sales within the retail marketplace. This event has distinctly dealer-centric content and is designed to provide training, information, and data around selling more CPO units. SubPrime Auto Finance Forum- This conference, produced in concert with the National Auto Finance Association, is focused on companies firmly committed to the subprime auto finance component of the used car industry. Finance company executives attend to network, learn and share critical information on compliance, trends and more. Re3- Repo, Recovery, Remarketing – This event has overlap with both the SubPrime Forum and the NRC. The Re3 was developed to provide unique content and information within the recovery segment of the business. Many executives who attend the Re3 will also choose to attend the NRC/NAAA. These events, in addition to the NRC/NAAA are the conferences that make Used Car Week a ‘must-attend’ for the industry.

Will the meeting move from September to November?
Yes, for the foreseeable future, we will be in November. Used Car Week, NRC and the other events during the week (CPO, SubPrime, and Re3) have all flourished at this time on the calendar and with so many events throughout the year; this seems to be an ideal time for the industry to gather.

Are there any other associations that are a part of Used Car Week?
Yes, we are very fortunate to have Industry Partnerships with NIADA (National Independent Auto Dealers Association) and NAF (National Auto Finance Association) joining NAAA as partners during Used Car Week. The NAF Association holds Compliance Training sessions around the event, and the NIADA is instrumental in helping develop content and dealer attendance throughout Used Car Week.

Will you be adding more associations and groups to Used Car Week?
We continue to discuss with others how we can integrate their needs with the convenience of having the industry at one, central location during Used Car Week. Companies are planning “User Conferences” and client meetings around the Used Car Week calendar.

What are the future locations and dates for Used Car Week, NRC/NAAA?
