ATLANTA – To meet the needs of its growing Spanish-speaking dealer base and local community, Manheim California will host its first-ever “Manheim en Español” auction on Friday, Feb. 1. The sale – which will be conducted exclusively in Spanish and be held weekly – was designed in collaboration with Spanish-speaking dealer customers in Southern California. With this new offering, Manheim California is providing solutions that create growth and value for the location, its customers and the community.
“The concept of an entirely separate sale geared especially for our Spanish-speaking dealers came directly from customer feedback,” said Tom Wemhoff, general manager of Manheim California. “While any dealer can participate in this weekly Friday sale, it will be conducted entirely in Spanish -- everything from auctioneer chants to vehicle announcements. Spanish-speaking dealers make up a large segment of our customer base and we’re excited to build a sale that meets their specific needs.”
The Auctioneers, ring men and block clerks will all be Spanish-speaking. There will also be various staff in most departments speaking Spanish. Everyone participating will have a badge that says, “Hablo Español,” so there will be plenty of people to help with auction participation. Food and beverages will be available, and there will be Chivas soccer girls, soccer shoot-out promos, soccer teams LA Galaxy & Chivas promo giveaways and a live Mariachi band trio to spice up the auction.

The Manheim en Español auction will take place every Friday, beginning at 9:30 a.m. The sale is expected to have 250-300 units. The vehicles are not limited to, but will most likely be within the $10,000 and under range.
