Overview

NAAA’s membership consists of 300+ domestic and international auctions. Our average member auction operates a full-service, seven-lane facility on 70+ acres and employs over 130 people with a $3+ million payroll. With sales totaling over 9.8 million units, our member auctions generate wholesale revenue of more than $90 billion annually.

In addition to our regular auction membership, you’ll find NAAA has over 100 associate members who represent a wide range of remarketing-related fields, such as financial institutions, insurance agencies, leasing companies, accounting firms, trade publishers, product manufacturers, equipment suppliers, state independent automobiles dealer associations, and others.

Membership in NAAA provides exclusive access to an audience of dealer-only auctions, vendors, association buyers, industry leaders, and decision makers, along with NAAA’s legacy of service, team of experts and special programs.

For over 68 years, the association has initiated solid relationships with elected officials at all levels; regulatory and enforcement authorities; national media and trade press; and the automotive industry at large. It also worked to establish fair and consistent practices.

NAAA remains devoted to its original mission of protecting and promoting the interests of our members by advancing the knowledge, leadership and standards necessary to meet the challenges of an evolving auto auction industry in the 21st century.

Today, NAAA continues to act as a catalyst for innovation, a conduit for communication and as a common ground where all can come together to create solutions for industry-wide issues based on a solid foundation of shared principles.

There are Two Types of Membership:

Auction Membership — Regular

An Auction (Regular) Member is defined as 'any person or entity actively engaged in the wholesale auto auction business whose operation complies with Federal, State and local laws, and principally provides auction services to buyers who are licensed motor vehicle dealers, and to sellers, in wholesale transactions involving motor vehicles that are not salvage, rebuilt or junk.'
